(06/12/07) Today, NCPR and TAUNY, Traditional Arts in Upstate New York, continue our look at some very special places in Northern New York. It's the middle of June and the school year is about to end. And as kids begin to plan their summer activities, many will consider going to camp. The Adirondacks are full of camps for boys and girls that provide hiking, boating, swimming and new friendships that may last a lifetime. The oldest one in the U.S. is on the shores of Lake Champlain. Today, Joel Hurd and Varick Chittenden visit Camp Dudley in Westport.

(08/09/02) The Adirondack Park Agency will hold a public hearing to decide the future of an eight-lot subdivision in southern St. Lawrence County. The developer says seven new buildings will be "hunting camps". Park Agency commissioners say the cabins could be used as homes. Brian Mann reports:
